To reserve the gîte of LesChênes clients should, after confirmation of availability, return the completed booking form to melinfrance@aol.com or by post to M Whybrow ~ Les Chênes ~ 16, Ste Anne ~ 56130 ~ St Dolay ~ France.
Following receipt of the booking form and minimum 25% non-refundable deposit, confirmation of booking and receipt will be sent to the client.
A refundable security deposit of £ 50.00 will also be due on payment of the balance. This amount shall be returned to the client within 15 days of the holiday end, less any outstanding charges, excess cleaning costs or significant breakages. This deposit shall not limit the client’s liability to the owners.
The client agrees to be a considerate tenant and ensure all members of their party take good care of the property and leave it and its contents in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental. The owner reserves the right to make a deduction from the security deposit for excess cleaning charges and significant breakages. It is the Clients responsibility to ensure that children in their party are supervised at all times. LesChênes is a no smoking property, but ashtrays are provided on the patio area.
The balance should be paid in full not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental. If payment is not received by the due date the owners have the right to give notice in writing, that the reservation is to be cancelled. The client is liable to pay the balance in full unless the owners can re-let the property.
Should the Client cancel the holiday within 8 weeks of the holiday start, any monies paid will be retained by the Owners unless the Owners are able to re-let the property. The cost of any additional advertising or expenses shall be deducted from the balance prior to being returned to the Client.
Client is advised to arrange comprehensive travel insurance to include cancellation cover, and insurance for personal belongings and public liability, as this is not covered by the owners insurance.
The rental period starts from 2.00p.m. on the first day and ends at 10.00a.m. on the last day of the rental, unless by prior arrangement with the owner.
The client should report immediately of any breakdown of equipment or appliances, so it can be dealt with as soon as practicable. The use of all amenities and equipment at LesChênes is entirely at the users risk, and the Owners accept no responsibility whatsoever for any injury, loss or damage, however caused, to any member of the Clients party or belongings.
Should any damage and/or breakage(s) exceed the deposit, the holidaymaker is responsible for making full restitution for the damage and/or breakages.
The Owner cannot be responsible for:
o any temporary stoppage or defect to any public service to the property.
o any loss, damage or injury from adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strike or any other events beyond the owner’s control.
o for any loss or damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the clients if the property was to be destroyed or damaged before the start of the rental, in that case the client would be informed and a full refund would be given.
We hope that you will not have any cause for complaint but in the event of a problem arising, you must in the first instance immediately contact the Owner so that any problem may be speedily resolved, as the Owner must be given the opportunity to rectify the problem.
Under no circumstances will the Owners liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the owners
